This song was written by Leonard Cohen in the 90’s together with Anjani Thomas in Montreal. Painter Robert Montgomery bought the original manuscript from the Thomas estate and commissioned Moreno to put music to it. This will be the UK official unveiling of the track with music by Moreno and lyrics by Cohen and Thomas, a unique treat for all Cohen fans and supporters of the Gibraltarian poet and singer-songwriter.

Currently based in London, Gibraltarian songwriter and poet Gabriel Moreno is an irresistibly engaging performer. He combines a latin exuberance and passion with a rare lyrical calibre (he is also an accomplished poet, with 12 books published to date). He has thrilled audiences across South America, the USA and Europe, including recent sets at UK festivals Wilderness, The Great British Folk Festival, Malmesbury Roots and Folk Festival, Costa Folk Festival, Gibraltar Music Festival, ELY Folk Festival, Broadstairs Folk Festival, Rochester Sweeps Festival and Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, and has been championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews.
